A SMOOTH EVENT IS A MYTH

Every moment spent in an Event of every man’s life on earth plants something in his soul


A single event can awaken within us a stranger totally unknown to us. To live is to be slowly born. Event planners thrive on creating experiences from the ground up. We are always thinking about how we can improve our process and promotion to meet our goals. It is no secret that event planning is stressful – and burnout is frequent. The process can be long and, often, a little bumpy as we attempt to balance brand and sponsor interests, attendee must – haves and other high – value integrations. We often find ourselves struggling with a particularly demoralizing slump.


But we always remember that we are a people person who loves helping attendees having an amazing time. Fueled by our passion, we are able to diffuse most situations and stay calm while doing it. When the fatigue and exhaustion set in after the last attendee walks away, we sometimes think to ourselves that we need a break before our next event. But since we love what we do, we’ll wake up refreshed and ready to get right back at it.


The event’s careful planning will no doubt pay off when missteps happen – we know who to call, how to react and the pieces that have to come together now to right the course. And that’s the mark of a true pro.

Now next time when you go and point out at things going wrong, think of all the efforts that has gone behind. Long working hours, no sleep, standing on one foot running errands, making sure that YOUR BRAND TALKS THE BEST remains our priority (even over our health).

With Creative people, an event doesn’t deliver a product but an experience. Almost all quality improvement comes via simplification of design, manufacturing, layout, processes, and procedures.

Best of best, these people allow themselves to be adorned by lessons derived through hardships and challenges. It is never easy, but it is always worth it. Their journey is the reward, for every new day is a chance to change their life.

How to save your future from the addiction called Sycophancy!

There’s a special place for Robots in Hell. Smart, quasi-autonomous humanoids are replacing humans in workplaces all over the world. They are expensive mean machines. They delete the word ‘No’ from their Dictionaries, they laugh on every single joke of their Masters, they share information, secrets and issues with them, and they certainly complain less.


They can be anywhere, they sometimes look like your team members, your colleagues, your peon or even your Boss. Earning a comfort zone is not bad, asking for one, is a sin. Probably your Boss, Dept. Head, colleague or Admin Head would save your a** every time, but this would make your Future addictive of such behavior. People start taking you for granted, blame it to the Human nature, but people may start confusing your ‘Performance Driven Success’ with “Favoritism Driven Appreciation’. Your Clients will start stretching the Delivery list and shrink the Deadlines. Your Boss will lose fear of losing your expertise and even existence in the company and your colleagues will start avoiding your presence from meetings, discussions and decisions.


To participate in casual chat with your Boss is a matter of chance, but to open your submissive self for him or her to practice the acts of Domination is a matter of choice. To meet the deadlines of your clients is one thing but to confuse deadlines with Lap Records is another. To never say ‘No’ to people is one thing, but to always Agree with their opinions and decisions is another.


It’s never too late to keep this addiction at bay, it’s not always bad to say ‘No’, and it’s not always required to agree with everyone. Be a Player, not a Game.

Sometimes we wonder how come a gentleman from Nigeria is interested in a brand that supplies Milk Products in Delhi NCR. Blame it to the Cover Image or the real Image your Digital Agency is trying to cover. Decoding Big Data is not about jumping from 100 Likes to 10000 Likes in a week, it’s about translating the prospects into Partners of success. Fast and Furious is movie title, not the name of file that contains your brand’s Digital Marketing guidelines. If things are going too ‘Fast’, the gap between the impact and expectation will leave everyone sitting inside the AC cabins quite ‘Furious’.


The transition is what differentiates a Fan Page from a Brand Page, your customers should be handpicked from the data, their desires and expectations should be satisfied with result oriented communication and engagement. One information hungry prospect is not just an opportunity; it’s also a threat that can provoke many others for Brand Boycott, digitally. A Brand is also a consumer, it pays Experience to the Audience and expects to receive Goodwill in return.


Make sure your Hand is open, because you can only see the number of Thumbs Up on your page, not the number of Thumbs Down for your Brand.

BTL and Digital : The fall of Marketing Monopolies and the rise of Integrated Marketing Campaigns

Don’t even dare ask us about the venue, it’s located somewhere amidst the weblinks. Go check the social media listings, ask the community managers or simply visit the microsite. But unfortunately tasting the desserts always require spoons, not keyboards.


Long gone are the days of marketing monarchy, mAdmen are coming to senses, thumbs up are not helping, online event fan pages have more crowd than the audience. Raising the online ad budgets cannot guarantee the presence of the audience that will raise their hands to ask questions at the event itself. Monoculars are out of fashion, why to restrict your vision to only one eye when you can get a better view with Binoculars. Digital and BTL are not enemies, they are allies. Calling BTL unnecessary is as ‘intelligent’ as calling Jungle a wasteland. It’s a necessary evil, ignore it and try to sell perfumes online, you’ll understand the reason why.


But that doesn’t make BTL or experiential marketing the Invincible God, ignoring Digital Media is like playing Chinese whisper in the age of wireless communication. Infinity is where the whistle blows in Digital Media, just add the spark of conversation, and watch the message catching fire in no time.


There’s no doubt that online marketing platforms straddle the old marketing divide. But valuable lessons learned over many years around above and below the line marketing are still relevant today. The media has changed but perhaps your messages, no matter how you send them, should sit firmly in between the lines.


Marketing success is like having babies, and unfortunately one cannot make babies alone, you need a partner, the better half.
